Simulative Investigation of Thermal Capacity Analysis Methods for Metallic Latent Thermal Energy Storage Systems

Latent heat storage systems are a promising technology for storing and providing thermal energy with low volume, mass cost requirements, especially when operated at high temperatures. Metallic phase change materials particularly advantageous input output, which is important mobile applications. When designing system, it essential to have precise knowledge about the potential capacity. However, system’s capacity typically calculated from material properties determined lab scale, although systemic boundary conditions can considerable influence. Systemic influences result reactive interfaces or design. In order consider these influences, we propose three calorimetric procedures thermally analyse high-temperature metallic latent an application scale. We examined in transient simulation environment, monitoring of system. The procedure, based on adiabatic conditions, shows least deviation parameters, but limited heating process storage.
